David R. Cox, Founder , 1937-2011
David R. Cox established D.R. Cox & Company in 1967, which has grown to be a respected Aviation Insurance Specialty firm with clients throughout the country. David had been a pilot since 1959 – Commercial, Instrument, SEL and SES rated, and an aircraft owner since 1967. He enjoyed working alongside his daughter and son-in-law, and treasured his lifelong friends in the aviation community.
Kathryn C. Woodall, CAIP
Kathryn is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Finance Degree, and has obtained the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and currently holds the Certified Aviation Insurance Professional (CAIP) designation and is an active member of the Aviation Insurance Association. Kathryn has over 15 years of experience as a licensed agent in the Aviation Insurance industry. She is married to Nathan and is a proud mother of 2 girls.

Nathan Woodall, Aviation Insurance Account Executive, Corporate & Commercial Accounts
Nathan is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and holds a Private Pilot’s license. Nathan has been an Aviation Insurance Broker since 2003 and is an active member of the Aviation Insurance Association. He is pursuing his Instrument and Tailwheel ratings. He enjoys all sports and is currently teaching his oldest daughter to play golf.

Clara (Bea) Allen, Customer Service Representative
Bea has over 25 years’ insurance experience with a background in Property/Casualty and Coal Mining Insurance and has worked exclusively with Aviation Insurance since 2007. She is a proud mother and grandmother and is an ordained minister and Deaconess at her church.

Jeff Gick, Aviation Insurance Account Executive and Pleasure & Business Accounts
Jeff holds a bachelor degree in Communications from Carson-Newman College and is a Commercial Pilot as well as a Certified Flight Instructor and Multi-Engine Instructor. Jeff is licensed in over twenty states and has a background in Property/Casualty Insurance and Claims Adjusting. Jeff enjoys traveling with his wife Sharyn and restoring vintage cars and motorcycles.
